Walnuts

 

 Heather Creek Ranch grows the Chandler variety of walnut. When shelled they yield a high percentage of halves.

They produce a large, golden nut that works well for cooking and baking  They are also a wonderful addition to breakfast, sprinkled on hot or cold  cereal. The kids love them in pancakes

They are great in salads, or just grab a handful for snacking.

Packed with nutrition walnuts contain protein, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids vitamins and minerals.   Vitamins include vitamin C, thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, B12, folate, vitamin E, vitamin K and vitamin A.

The minerals found in them include calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium.
